for the chair of "Energy Engineering and Climate Protection".

Working field: Teaching in the area of thermodynamics and energy engineering fundamentals for several Bachelor and Master programs. Classes have to be taught in German and English.
Research shall be conducted in the field of energy engineering on the following topics:
  • Optimisation of dynamic energy conversion systems with respect to implementation of renewables and the consequent intermittent supply of electricity and heat
  • Development and evaluation of advanced energy conversion systems
  • Development and application of methods for analysis and optimization hereto
Requirements: Candidates must fulfill the requirements for appointment at the professor level in compliance with § 100 BerlHG (Berlin Higher Education Act) [information sheet available by request], including a completed academic education, qualified achievements in research (PhD), post-doctoral lecture qualification (Habilitation) or equivalent qualification (e.g. documented by quality of scientific papers) and pedagogical didactic qualifications, to be given proof of by a teaching portfolio (for more information see TUB website, quick access no. 144242).
Research experience in the aforementioned topics of energy engineering and broad and deep knowledge of complex optimization methods, as well as experience with human resource management and in acquisition and managing of projects in a responsible position is required.
