participation in competitions, built projects as well as profound theoretical reflection,

Research and teaching should focus on contextual design, engineering and constructing in existing buildings in the interplay of history - design - use.
The applicant is expected to actively participate in independent, interdisciplinary projects within the faculty and the university in connection with the BTU research area "Smart Regions and Heritage".
Teaching is in the form of the project-based study and specialized seminars for all levels of Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs offered in our faculty. Other duties result from the requirements set by § 42 Brandenburgisches Hochschulgesetz (Higher Education Act of the State of Brandenburg - BbgHG) in conjunction with § 3 BbgHG. Experience in the acquisition and realization of third-party funded projects is expected. Fields of research should be relevant for DFG (German Research Foundation) funding. Lectures are primarily to be held in German, fluency in English is expected.
