We are seeking a researcher who is internationally recognized in a current field
of algorithmic and discrete mathematics. The candidate is expected to strengthen
and complement the faculty’s research focus in mathematical optimization and to
have a strong research profile in algorithmic and discrete mathematics or integer
programming. The new professor should foster collaborations with scientists of
other fields, especially computer science and engineering.
Besides teaching duties in discrete mathematics and optimization, introductory
courses in algebra and cryptography as well as courses for other study programmes
should be offered.
