The Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Urban Planning of Brandenburg University of Technology (BTU) Cottbus-Senftenberg, invites applications for a

Professorship (W3)
Architectural Design -
Energy-efficient Building

commencing at April 1st, 2018.
The faculty seeks an outstanding personality with excellent scientific qualifications and a high degree of architectural competence, as demonstrated by successful participation in design competitions, built projects as well as profound theoretical reflection in the field of energy-efficient building.
Research and teaching should focus on design of energy-efficient buildings, engineering and constructing in new and existing buildings in the interplay of resources - form - occupancy.
The applicant is expected to actively participate in independent, interdisciplinary projects within the faculty and the university in connection with the BTU research focus „Energy Efficiency and Sustainability“.
Teaching is in the form of design projects and specialized seminars for all levels of Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs offered in our faculty.
Participation in academic self-administration and contribution to the further development of the faculty profile is expected.

Other duties result from the requirements set by § 42 Brandenburgisches Hochschulgesetz (Higher Education Act of the State of Brandenburg - BbgHG) in conjunction with § 3 BbgHG.

Experience in the acquisition and realization of third-party funded projects is expected. Fields of research should be relevant for DFG (German Research Foundation) funding. Lectures are primarily to be held in German, fluency in English is expected.
