Kindly supported by the "Stiftung Geld und Währung" (Foundation of Monetary and Financial Stability), Goethe University Frankfurt/Main will further develop its Institute for Monetary and Financial Stability (IMFS), established in 2006, as one of its interdisciplinary centers. The IMFS provides both for basic research and research relating to current issues and developments. It also focuses on supporting early career researchers. In order to expand the research profile of the IMFS, the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration invites applications for the following position starting September 1st 2017:

Professorship (W2, tenure track)
in Financial Markets and Macroeconomics

The initial tenure track appointment is for six years (§ 64 of the Higher Education Act of the State of Hessen (HHG)). Upon positive evaluation, the incumbent will be promoted to a permanent position at a higher level (W3). The professorship is part of the IMFS and assigned to the Department of Money and Macroeconomics of the Faculty of Economics and Business. Applicants are expected to focus on "microeconomic foundations of financial markets in economy-wide models". Furthermore, successful applicants should contribute to interdisciplinary projects in the area of "price stability and financial stability" in the IMFS.
We are looking for candidates with a publication record in internationally leading scientific journals. The professorship is expected to participate actively in the teaching of the undergraduate and graduate programs.
The designated salary for the position is based on the German university pay scale or equivalent.
