W2 Professorship "Principles of Design" at Münster School of Design

Your tasks
  • You will teach first-year students the general principles of design in two-, three- and four-dimensional areas of design, using profound teaching skills and making deliberate use of methods.
  • You will promote students creative skills, particularly concerning image structure, composition, theory of co­lours, drawing, visualisation techniques and sequential image languages, in the subject areas of Image, Interaction, Animation, Illustration, Typography and Moving Image.
  • You will base your teaching on the multifaceted require­ments of design practice, continuously developing it in line with future needs.
  • As part of a team, you will coordinate and organise the basic courses offered.
  • You will become involved in university self-government at Münster University of Applied Sciences.
Your profile
  • Your professional profile is closely related to design, and you undertake design from an interdisciplinary perspective.
  • With a proven track record in design, you will have several years of professional experi­ence in a responsible position outside higher education.
  • You have profound didactical skills, and will preferably have extensive experience in university teaching.
  • You have a good command of English.
  • Ideally, you will have professional experience abroad as well as good contacts to international universities and institutions
