The successful candidate will teach the subject at bachelor‘s and master‘s level course and
undertake applied research and knowledge transfer according to the profile of the Technical
University of Applied Sciences Wildau [TUAS].
We are looking for a person who has a relevant PhD or proof of comparable academic
achievements. The successful candidate should be able to teach economics with a focus on
"International Economic Policy" in the degree courses of Business Administration, European
Management and Business and Law (both at a Bachelor and Master level) in the Faculty of
Business, Computing and Law at the TUAS Wildau.
The successful candidate will also be expected to teach core subjects in related fields.
This also includes taking on courses from other degree programmes within the faculty.
Another requirement is the ability to teach in English as well as to teach on part-time courses
and to develop online learning programmes.
We are looking for a person who has acquired practical experience supported by relevant
teaching and research activities and can plan and carry out the above mentioned courses to
a high degree of didactic competence.

The successful candidate will provide vocational and practical teaching and develop positive professional relationships with students and all other partners. The Technical University of Applied Sciences Wildau aims to strengthen its international and interdisciplinary profile in both teaching and research so therefore appropriate work experience as well as an established international network is called for.
The TUAS Wildau also attaches great importance to practice-oriented research and knowledge transfer by professors. Associated research and recognized publications and the development of contacts with external regional and national partners are therefore highly desirable. A willingness to participate in education reform processes and in the university‘s selfadministration committees is required. The professorship is initially limited to five years as a public-sector employee. A new limited or unlimited appointment is possible depending on budgetary requirements and the development plans of the university without initiating a new application process. In the case of an unlimited appointment, a permanent appointment is possible. In addition to general employment law provisions, this post is subject to the following requirements under § 41 BbgHG:
- A completed university degree
- Teaching ability
- The special aptitude for academic work, usually demonstrated by a qualified doctorate with good results
- Special achievements in the application or development of academic knowledge and methods in at least three years relevant professional experience, at least two years of which must have been gained outside the higher education sector.
