Professorship (W2 , tenure track)
The initial tenure track appointment is for six years (§ 64 of the Higher Education Act of the State of Hessen (HHG)). Upon positive evaluation, the incumbent will be promoted to a permanent position at a higher level (W3).
The professorship aims to strengthen the research focus Biodiversity at Goethe-University and is expected to cover the area of environmental protection and nature conservation in its full breadth. We are looking for an outstanding scientist, who mainly deals with plant organisms and their environmental interactions, including experimental approaches, and who has extensive experience in several of the following areas:
for Biodiversity Conservation
- Current approaches to nature conservation, which consider not only the structure and dynamics of natural ecosystems but also the ecosystem services provided
- Regulatory and planning aspects of nature conservation
- Designation of protected areas, including management planning and monitoring
- Implementation of species and nature conservation law
