The Faculty of Business, Law and Social Sciences of Brandenburg University of Technology (BTU) Cottbus-Senftenberg, invites applications for a

Professorship (W2)

Business Studies, with a focus on empirical management studies and transformation (Allgemeine Betriebswirtschaftslehre, insbesondere empirische Unternehmensforschung und Transformation)

commencing at the earliest opportunity.
The successful candidate is responsible for research and teaching in the areas of empirical management studies and transformation. A research focus on the effects of technological change is expected. We also expect the successful candidate to have distinguished herself or himself with outstanding research work (concerning both publications and third-party funding). In addition, a strong effort in academic teaching is expected.
We expect the successful candidate to have an internationally visible, competitive research profile. The effects of transformation processes on businesses should be analysed using state of the art empirical methods and starting from a solid theoretical foundation. In particular, the ability to apply methods connected to neighbouring fields, such as Management Science, is a prerequisite.
Experience in interdisciplinary research projects, in particular with regard to engineering or technology, is expected. Internationalisation is a strong priority for the profile of our university. Therefore, we welcome international research and teaching experience. The professorship is responsible for essential contributions to study programmes in Business Administration, Business Engineering and E-Business. Excellent didactical skills and a fit of the research profile with the university's core research areas are desirable. The capacity to work in teams and good social skills are expected.

Experience in the acquisition and realization of third-party funded projects is expected. Fields of research should be relevant for the DFG (German Research Foundation) or similar international research funding organizations. Lectures are primarily to be held in German, fluency in English is expected.
