Reutlingen University: About us
With some 5,800 students, Reutlingen University is one of the biggest universities of applied sciences in Baden-Württemberg. At our five Schools –; of Applied Chemistry, Informatics, Engineering, Textiles & Design, and the ESB Business School – we take a practical and future-oriented approach to training the leaders of tomorrow. We live our internationality on campus, with students from some 100 different countries, internationally-oriented programs, and semesters abroad at 180 partner institutions worldwide.
Reutlingen University stands for excellence in teaching and a practical approach. We cooperate with global companies and strong mid-sized enterprises to keep our curricula in tune with the times and to give our students the best possible preparation for their professional lives with real industrial projects. Entrepreneurial thinking is our strength in all five Schools.
In addition, we provide close integration of teaching and applied research. Our centers of teaching and learning represent a unique hybrid model of university of applied sciences, industry partners, and academic research. And because we see education as an ongoing process, our further training body, the Knowledge Foundation, enables lifelong learning with programs which can be taken as a part of working life.
We have been among the leaders in many rankings for a number of years, reflecting our good reputation and the high standard of our scientific and academic training; we are working every day to reinforce this success and to further advance Reutlingen University.
