Within the framework of the federal-state program for improved study conditions and the promotion of quality standards in teaching, OWL University of Applied Sciences will continue to elaborate its excellent teaching practices. The focus lies on the implementation of the projects "PraxiS OWLplus - Practice-Oriented and Innovative Study Modes in Ostwestfalen-Lippe" and "OPTES - Optimization of the Self-Learning Phase". In order to implement the project "PraxiS OWLplus", a professorship will be established at the Department of Media Production for the period up to 31 December 2020. A task-specific reduction of the teaching obligation is possible.
Your tasks at the Department of Media Production:
You take on responsibility for the teaching of media didactics with a focus on the representation, experience and effects as well as on the conceptualization, realization and marketing of media and communication products. In addition to the scientific realization of teaching events within the field of media didactics, this position includes the subject-specific development and implementation of concepts for the teaching of key competencies / soft skills in particular to students and of didactic competencies to teaching staff the monitoring of other projects within the field of academic didactics, the continuous development of and research on the project "PraxiS OWLplus" as well as the establishment of your own research approaches within the subject areas of the department.
In addition, you will share responsibility for the scientific management of the learning center at the university campus in Lemgo.
You should have completed a university degree with above-average results for example in media communication, media management, pedagogy or journalism that qualifies for this professorship. Applications from the field of audiovisual media are also welcome. Experiences in the d idactics of interactive media would be advantageous for this position. You have created outstanding artistic work or have completed a PhD. You have extensive experience in the didactic organization as well as teaching experience at the threshold between application area and didactics.
