For the spring semester 2018, or upon agreement, the Faculty of Law at the University of Zurich is inviting applications for the
Professorial Chair of Private and Business Law, Private International Law, International Civil Procedure and Comparative Law
The position is open to candidates with an outstanding academic record in research and teaching in the field of private international law, including the related fields of international civil procedure, comparative law and transnational law, as well as in the Swiss law of obligations, particularly in the area of non-contractual civil liability. Also called for are qualifications in one or more of the following areas: Private insurance law, European contract law, economic or empirically based analysis of the law of obligations, consumer protection law, tenancy law, and drafting of (international) contracts. A (completed or almost completed) Habilitation or equivalent is required.
