Professor in Digitalisation and Information Systems (German/English)

The Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences of the University of Fribourg (Switzerland) invites applications for full-time professorship in Digitalisation and Information Systems starting September 1st, 2018.

This professorship is in the Department of Informatics of the University of Fribourg. The successful candidate has a doctoral degree in a field related to Digitalisation and Information Systems, a high-quality publication record in relevant international, peer-reviewed journals, and relevant teaching experience. Experience in acquiring third party funds is desirable.

The teaching load is 6 to 7 hours per week and involves three courses in German at the bachelor level (Wirtschaftsinformatik I, Wirtschaftsinformatik II, Datenbanken) and two courses in English at the master level. These master courses will be given alternately every two years and cover the research field of the candidate. At least one of these courses should be focused around Information Systems and also be accessible and of interest to master students of other Departments (i.e. Management and/or Economics and/or Communication and Media Research) within the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences. The successful candidate should have high command of both languages, German and English.

Administrative languages at the University of Fribourg are German and French. Thus, a passive knowledge of French is expected.
