Research Assistant
(PhD position)

The position is embedded into the Collaborative Research Centre (SFB) 987 "Microbial Diversity in Environmental Signal Response".
Salary and benefits are according to a public service position in Germany (TV-H E 13, 50 %). The position starts as soon as possible and is limited until June 30th, 2020, if no former times of qualification must be considered.
The project is dedicated to unravel the molecular mechanisms underlying the bacterial stress response. For further information, see www.bangelab.org.
The position is limited to a time period deemed adequate for the completion of a doctoral degree. As part of the assigned duties, there will be ample opportunity to conduct the independent scientific research necessary for the completion of a doctorate. The limitation complies to § 2, 1 WissZeitVG.
The successful candidate must hold a MSc in Biology, Biochemistry or related disciplines. Theoretical and practical training in molecular biology, biochemistry or structural biology is required, as well as true interest in unraveling molecular mechanisms.
