The Department of Supply Chain Management and Management Science has rich experience in supply chain management. Researchers of the department have conducted outstanding research projects and published their research works in international top journals.

YOUR TASKS

  • Participate and conduct research within the joint project between the University of Cologne, Germany and Tsinghua University, China, which is funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG). The project topic is Behavioral Analysis of Supply Chain Collaboration
  • Study theoretical models, design of laboratory experiments, and data analysis
  • Active participation in research communication, academia seminars, and conferences
  • Publication of research in leading academic journals
  • The candidate is supposed to spend a research stay in China

YOUR PROFILE

  • Excellent Master‘s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Management, Industrial Engineering or similar subjects
  • High motivation to conduct research in the fields of Behavioral Operations and Supply Chain Management
  • Interest in game theory and statistics
  • Interest in programming in, e.g., Python and Java
  • Good English language skills
  • Ability to collaborate nationally and internationally
  • Learning ability, team spirit, and independent working ability

The position is available from 01.07.2018 on a part-time basis (75% position/29,87 hours). It is limited to four years. If the applicant meets the relevant wage requirements and personal qualifications, the salary is based on remuneration group TV-L 13 of the pay scale for the German public sector.
