1 Ph.D. position
(Salary Scale 13 TVL; 75 %)to be filled as soon as possible (Term: 24 months, prolongation of 12 months possible).
The successful applicant will be part of the research project "Activist becomings in South Africa and Myanmar. Studying infrastructure and politics through activists’ life-worlds" as funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG); they will be in charge of the sub-project in Myanmar. We seek highly motivated individuals holding an excellent university degree in Social or Cultural Anthropology or similar fields. Ethnographic fieldwork experiences, especially in Asia, are particularly welcome. The project holder is expected to carry out a total of 12 months of stationary fieldwork in Yangon (Myanmar).
