Molecular Plant Physiologist (m/f)

The KWS SAAT SE Research Team is looking for a dedicated and open-minded Molecular Plant Physiologist (m/f) on a full time and permanent basis to strengthen our Team in Einbeck, Germany. As a member of the team you will apply your knowledge to develop and implement methods to identify yield related processes and genes and verify their impact on plant growth.

Your tasks:
  • Identify and propose strategies for yield improvement and gene discovery
  • Conducting own and collaborative research projects
  • Participate in continuous development/implementation of technological innovations
  • Close interaction with breeders and molecular genomics research groups at KWS
  • Critical evaluation of data and reporting
  • International networking in the field of molecular physiology
  • Management of projects, people and budgets

Your profile:
  • PhD or equivalent degree in Plant Biology, Biochemistry or related disciplines plus three years of recent experience in industry or academia
  • Excellent knowledge in plant molecular biology, physiology, and genetics
  • Personal working experience with a broad spectrum of experimental methods
  • Fluent English and basic German language skills, willingness to travel
