Junior Research Group Leader
The regular working hours will be 100 % (currently 39.8 hours per
week) with an initial, fixed-term contract for 3 years. An extension to
a total period of five years is possible following a positive evaluation.
The successful candidate will establish an independent molecular research
programme aimed at problems associated with microbial pathogens in
the forestry sector. The junior research group will be involved with
teaching, predominately in the Bachelor Programme „Molecular Ecosystem
Sciences, which is taught in English. Practical international collaboration
is also desirable.
The following are requirements for this position:
for Forest Pathology
- pay grade 14 TV-L -
A scientific university degree with a very good final grade and a doctorate in a discipline related to life sciences (forestry or biology)
Relevant practical knowledge of microbial ecology and molecular techniques, preferably including forest pathogens
Very good knowledge of English and a willingness to teach in English
