We want to strengthen the line of research in Automated Drive Systems. This
should cover the development, modelling and control of innovative automated
drive concepts in science and engineering.
Automated Drive Systems
You are a highly talented researcher and a qualified scientist in the area of Automated Drive Systems with the ambition to establish a high-profile and internationally recognized research line. Besides excellent knowledge in research you will contribute to teaching at different levels and university duties. Possible research topics are:
- optimization of electromechanical power transmission with the goal of exploring electromechanical energy converter and low inertia and high torque drive motors and the design of suitable control and regulation techniques
- reliability, availability and preventive diagnosis and fault tolerance of electric power transmission
- generating electrical energy from renewable sources in the range of very small benefits for mobile applications or for rural landscape
The professorship is part of the Institute of Electrical Systems and Energy Logistics and thus strongly connected to the chairs of Electrical Engineering and System Engineering. A close cooperation with the related fields in the Institute of Engineering and Management is expected.

In accordance with § 46 BbgHG junior professors are appointed officials for the duration of up to four years for a limited time. Altogether, at a positive intermediate evaluation a prolongation shall on be carried out for not more than six years. Lectures are primarily to be held in German, fluency in English is expected. Experience in the acquisition and realization of third-party funded projects is expected. Doctorate and occupation phase shall not have been together any more than six years.
