„Advanced Methods in Porous Media“
This appointment within the Collaborative Research Centre (CRC
(SFB) 1313) Interface-driven multi-field processes in porous media
is a measure to increase the proportion of qualified female junior
professors. The junior professor is expected to work intensively
and contribute high-quality research related to one of the following
project areas of SFB 1313:
- coupling free flow and porous-media flow,
- coupled fracture-propagation and flow processes in porous media,
- fluid-solid phase change in porous media,
- benchmarking, simulation and visualisation of flow, transport or
deformation processes in porous media.
Depending on the research focus, the position’s primary affiliation
will be to one of the institutes involved in SFB 1313; active participation
in the Stuttgart Centre for Simulation Sciences (SC SimTech) is also
The successful candidate will be a prominent young researcher with
experience in at least one of the following areas:
- mathematical and/or numerical modelling,
- experimental modelling and analysis,
- uncertainty analysis for flow, transport or deformation processes
in porous media.
In addition to teaching responsibilities in the area of expertise, the
successful applicant will be expected to teach in SC SimTech and/or
one of the faculties involved in SFB 1313, to actively attract external
funding and to take on academic administration tasks.
