Full Professorship (W3) for Pharmaceutical Biologyin the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences to be filled by 4/2018. This professorship is particularly suitable as a starting position for highly qualified early career researchers. The professorship represents the field Pharmaceutical Biology in research and teaching. The intended job holder is internationally visible in an area of Pharmaceutical Biology. A research topic which correlates with research topics in natural product research is welcome. We expect that applicants will add to the existing research profile of the faculty in a highly synergistic manner. Teaching will occur in courses of Pharmaceutical Biology (Staatsexamen Pharmacy and BSc/MSc Pharmaceutical Sciences). We expect active research collaborations within existing research networks (RTG1976, Functional diversity of cofactors in enzymes; RTG 2202, Transport across and into membranes; CRC992, Medicinal epigenetic.) Prerequisites for the employment of professors are a university degree, an outstanding dissertation and an excellent publication record. Substantial achievements and experience in academic research and teaching, at the level of a habilitation according to the German academic system, are expected.
