Full Professor (W3) for Housing, Living
Concepts and Design

The assignment of the professorship is to examine and work on the complex questions of public housing under various technical aspects – e.g. art of building, social, historical, ecological, economical, and structural - in teaching and research. The focus is on teaching and research in the processing of questions that are important for the future of public housing. These include, for example, new forms of housing, issues of flexibility and variability, the mix with other utilisation, the change of use over time, in particular also problems which lead beyond the specific area, such as the possibilities of resource-conserving and flexible construction, and reasonable spatial and social consolidation. In teaching, the professorship is integrated into the course of studies of the faculty.
The professorship is connected to the chair of the Institute Housing and Design.
