Full Professorship (W3) for gynecology
to be filled by October 1th, 2019.

The future holder of this position will represent the subject in research and teaching. She/he will be the medical director of the department of gynecology and obstetrics at the medical center - University of Freiburg. The clinical and scientific focus will be on gynaecology, gynaecological oncology and senology. Experience and expertise in translational research in these fields is wanted. The successful candidate must have longstanding clinical experience in the complete field of gynecology. Applicants are expected to be experienced in personnel and clinical management, as well as clinical economics. Excellent, internationally recognized scientific credentials, allocation of third-party research funding and teaching abilities are required for this position. Furthermore a close, interdisciplinary cooperation, an active role in the Comprehensive Cancer Center Freiburg - CCCF, and the Integration into the main research activities of the faculty of medicine are expected. Requirements for the appointment are in addition to the compliance with the employment regulations, the completion of a university degree in medicine, educational qualification, an exceptional doctorate degree, an excellent publication record and a board certification in gynecology and obstetrics (Facharztanerkennung). Applicants should have a Habilitation or an equivalent qualification (§ 47 Landeshochschulgesetz, LHG). The position is tenured according to § 50 para 1 LHG.
