The professorship belongs to the TUM Department of Mechanical Engineering. Currently, the development of materials is driven by the chair of "Materials Science and Mechanics of Materials", the Chair of "Carbon Composites" and the joint Professorship on "Plasma-Material Interaction", established in collaboration with the Max Planck Institute. Their main focus areas are "production technology", "automotive science" as well as "aeronautics and astronautics". This environment offers multiple opportunities for collaborative projects and in-novative research. Responsibilities
The responsibilities include research and teaching as well as the promotion of early-career scientists. We seek to appoint an expert in the research area of Materials Engineering of Metals. The teaching load includes courses in the university’s bachelor and master programs. Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with high international reputation who has demonstrated an outstanding academic record and an internationally recognized research program, regarding the relevant career level. A university degree and an outstanding doctoral degree or equivalent scientific qualification as well as pedagogi-cal aptitude, including the ability to teach in English, are also prerequisites.
