The Early Bird registration discount will be available for those who register by October 31, 2010. Registration and full pricing details are available online at: <www.oaod2010.de>

Location The conference will be hosted at the Hyatt Regency, a city hotel by the river Rhine in Cologne, Germany, December 13-14, 2010.

Conference Theme The international expert conference "Open Access - Open Data" is organized by Goportis, the Leibniz Library Network for Research Information and will look closely on how the Open Access movement has developed within the last five years and what is going to happen within the next five to ten years. Additionally, the "Open Data Movement" that is gaining more and more importance will be under consideration. While "Open Access" has become daily routine for scientists from many disciplines, access to research data has only recently been put on the agendas of libraries, data centres and research institutions. Discussions will therefore also concentrate on the different challenges that research data will pose in the future. Several projects in this context are already on their way and organisational structures like for example DataCite are being built up.
