W3-Professorship
»Building Morphology«
beginning on 01.10.2023.
The professorship is responsible for teaching the fundamentals of architectural and urban design in the faculty’s Bachelor and Master degree programmes. Teaching will be primarily focussed on first year Bachelor of Architecture courses. The successful candidate is expected to mediate architectural concepts and to research and contribute to the development of building design fundamentals based on architectural theory and philosophical and social interrelationships within the context of evolving design methods.
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate their abilities in architectural design through examples their own work. In addition to an academic university degree in architecture and a pedagogical qualification (usually demonstrated through university teaching experience), the candidate is expected to have a doctoral degree in a related field or to have completed work that demonstrates outstanding qualifications in architecture and academia.
These general requirements pertain to § 84 of the Thuringian Higher Education Act (ThürHG).
