The Institute of Immunology (Director Prof. Dr. Hassan Jumaa) of the Medical Faculty Ulm would like to appoint the following professorship as soon as possible:
W3-Professorship for Immunology (f/m/d)
The main research interest of the Institute focuses on molecular immunology, in particular molecular aspects of immune regulation/immune aging, development, differentiation and disorders of the immune system, as well as molecular mechanisms of tumorigenesis, signal transduction and the role of the microenvironment. We are looking for a personality with excellent scientific credentials who will support the development of scientific activities and teaching tasks in the field of immunology and who will sharpen the scientific profile of our department.
Another priority of the professorship is the development of distinctive scientific concepts and methods, e.g. in the field of aging and/or trauma research. The advancement and expansion of interdisciplinary national and international research collaborations and the strengthening of existing research networks is highly appreciated.
Teaching responsibilities include immunology courses in Human, Dental, and Molecular Medicine/Molecular and Translational Neuroscience programs, as well as courses in other departments, particularly Biology.
Requirements for employment are a completed university degree, pedagogical qualifications, doctorate and additional relevant scientific achievements (§ 47 LHG).
