Working field: Research in the field of business law and technology-related corporate law, with a focus on patent law and other technical-institutional areas of economic life.
Following future-oriented topics should be appropriately taken in consideration:
- interfaces between technology, business and law
- liability systems, liability risks and their prevention
- legal assessment of innovative key technologies (e.g. additive manufacturing, autonomous driving, industry 4.0, robotics)
In addition, subject-specific teaching tasks in the course of the degree programs "Industrial Engineering and Management", "Business Informatics", "Economics", "Sustainable Management", "Industrial Economics", "Innovation Management, Sustainability & Entrepreneurship" and "Patent Engineering" as well as in various (continuing) education courses are required. The lectures should be held in German and English.
The professorship is associated with the scientific management of the Center for Intellectual Property as well as the support of TU Berlin in application and further development of its patent strategy.
Requirements: Law degree (first state examination or equivalent, second state examination an advantage), fulfillment of the appointment requirements pursuant to Section 100 of the Berlin Higher Education Act. This includes a university degree, qualified achievements in research (generally proven by PhD), postdoctoral lecture qualification (Habilitation) or equivalent qualification and pedagogical didactic qualifications, to be given proof of by a teaching portfolio (for more information see TUB website, quick access no. 144242). Furthermore, qualification in the management of a large work group, research and teaching experiences in the field of technology-related business law, commercial law, labor law and patent law. Experience in the recruitment and management of research projects complete the requirements.
