The Emmy Noether Research Group
“The Foreign Relations of National Legislatures” invites applications for two doctoral researchers for a
duration of two years (with a possible extension of another two years, subject to the positive mid-term evaluation by the German Research
Foundation (DfG)). The starting date is
1st April 2022.
The group studies the causes and consequences of international activities and networks of national legislators. The group is led by Thomas Malang.
The working language is English.
Your responsibilities
- Collecting and processing global data on
international parliamentary activity
- Conducting research within the project’s
framework
- Participation in the Graduate School of the
Social and Behavioural Sciences and
writing a doctoral thesis
Your Competencies
- A very good Master’s degree in political
science, international
relations, or a
related field
- Solid training in quantitative methods and
statistical analysis
- Strong written and oral communication
skills in English
