The Faculty of Humanities at the University of Konstanz, subject to the approval of the University Council, is seeking to appoint at the earliest possible date a
Tenure-track-Professorship for Sociology with a specialization in social movements
The successful candidate contributes to research and teaching in the faculty‘s sociology group of the new cluster of excellence „The Politics of Inequality", and the „Graduate School for the Social and Behavioral Sciences". He/she should have a substantive focus in mostly empirical-quantitative research in the field of political mobilization, especially in non-OECD countries.
An exzellent Ph.D. in sociology or a related discipline and a track record of publishing in peer reviewed journals is required. Applicants should have experience in securing third-party funding and university teaching.
The position is a tenure track position leading to an appointment as a W3 professor. If your evaluation is positive, you will obtain tenure as a W3 professor after completing a simplified version of the professorial appointment process.
