Tenure-Track Postdoctoral Researcher (f/m/d) 100 %
We seek to hire an
applied economist specializing on empirical research in the fields of
Health Economics. The group covers a wide range of topics, focussing on the supply and reimbursement of traditional health care services as well as digital health tools. The successful applicant will have a sound knowledge of health economics and quantitative evaluation methods in particular quasi-experimental methods for administrative data. Experience in planning, conducting and evaluating experimental studies (clinical, lab and field interventions) is a plus.
The position is suitable for researchers who have completed or are about to complete their PhD in economics. Candidates will contribute to and shape the evolving research agenda of the department. They aim for excellent academic publications in leading journals. They are comfortable with communicating their scientific findings to the public and advising policymakers based on their expertise. We are looking for candidates with the ability to work independently within a team, good organisational and excellent oral and written expression skills. The candidates are not expected to teach but should be interested to conceptualize and manage third party-financed research projects particularly targeting European institutions. Fluency in English is required; command of German is not necessary but will be helpful.
We offer a full-time, tenure-track position for an initial period of two years, with the possibility of extension for another three years. Remuneration is based on the TV-L statutory salary scale and its associated public sector benefits. The successful applicant will take on an exciting and challenging role in a dynamic research environment.
