Tenure-Track Postdoctoral Researcher (80 % – 100 %, f/m/d) Public Economics
The work of the research unit is mainly clustered along three themes: (i) the role of the tax and transfer system in shaping income and wealth inequality, (ii) the measurement of inequality, and (iii) gender aspects of inequality and, more broadly, the interplay between inequality and demographic factors such as fertility, migration, and population ageing.
The candidate will be eager to conduct top-notch empirical, policy-relevant research with the aim of publishing in top journals and having an impact in the public debate. There is no obligation to teach, but possibilities to acquire teaching experience at the University of Mannheim exist. Fluency in English is required; command of German is not necessary.
The position is suitable for researchers who have completed or are about to complete their PhD in economics. We offer a full-time, tenure-track position for an initial period of two years, with the possibility of extension for another three years.
