The Institute for Community Medicine at Greifswald University Medicine is offering the following third-party funded position:
Senior Scientist (m/f) Statistician, Methodologist Ref. Number 18/AS/54
Our institute is leading in population-based health research, focussing on cohort studies (e.g. Study of Health in Pomerania (SHIP) / German National Cohort),
with about two published peer-reviewed papers per week in medical journals. In collaboration with major epidemiologic research institutions we develop data quality
standards and methods for their application in epidemiologic research. We are looking for a scientist with a strong methodological background and profound programming
skills to expand our scientific team. A major project with regard to the offered position is euCanSHare a European-Canadian initiative to improve standards for the analysis of cardiovascular data.
The position shall be either part-time or full-time subject to the available volume of third-party funds, for a fixed-term of up to four years (according to the
part-time and temporary employment law) with the option for subsequent renewal. Home office options are possible.
Fields of activity
Development & implementation of analytical and/or statistical methods (focus on R)
including the usual documents (letter of application, curriculum vitae, certificates and references, list of publications, letters of recommendations, all in one
PDF file) under mention of the reference number 18/AS/54.
Application expenses cannot be covered.
