The University of Siegen, Faculty II, Department for Clinical Psychology invites applications for a full-time position of a
with a flexible starting time of 01.12.2018 or later for a fixed term of three years. The project is third-party funded and as such relies on the
respective allocation of funds. The possible length of employment is subject to the German Act on Temporary Employment in Higher Education.
Research on “Neural correlates of fear conditioning, extinction and psychophysiological processing of affective stimuli.”
Working on publications in relevant high impact, peer-reviewed journals

The position is intended to facilitate your academic development and qualification (preparation for assistant professor positions). You will be given the opportunity for this as part of your employment.The project:
The aim of the project is to investigate the differences and similarities between different times of extinction learning by using fMRI. The 3-T MRI scanner is located at the Bender Institute of Neuroimaging in Giessen. Thus, most working time will be located in Giessen.
The project is financially well-equipped and includes resources for hiring further staff, travelling -costs and publication costs
PhD in psychology or in another field relevant to the project
University degree (diploma, bachelor's degree, master's degree) in psychology or in another field relevant to the project
Ideally, you should have:
Experience in fMRI analyses and research
Computer programming knowledge (please specify the programming language(s) (e.g. MATLAB) and your respective level(s) of experience)
Good command of English
