Scientist – Tailor-Made Raw Materials for Novel Papermaking Processes

Your Job:

• Participation in the development of biotechnological processes for the provision of new fibres and value creation from paper production rejects
• Development of workflows for the enzymatic modification of polysaccharides and bio-chemical analysis methods for the characterization of plant fibres
• Participation in studies on raw material evaluation and availability
• Preparation of data and scientific interpretation of results, independent presentation of results at scientific conferences, and collaboration on scientific publications
• Supporting the head of department in project management on the topics of plant fibres and renewable raw materials

Your Profile:

• PhD in biotechnology, biochemistry, chemistry, or a related discipline
• Expertise in enzyme technology and biochemical analysis of carbohydrates
• Knowledge of chromatographic and spectroscopic analytical techniques is desirable
• Ability to work in an international multidisciplinary team
• Excellent written and spoken English / German
