We are looking to recruit a
Scientist – Tailor-Made Raw Materials for Novel Papermaking Processes
Your Job:
- Participation in the development of biotechnological processes for the provision of new fibres and value creation from paper production rejects
- Development of workflows for the enzymatic modification of polysaccharides and bio-chemical analysis methods for the characterization of plant fibres
- Participation in studies on raw material evaluation and availability
- Preparation of data and scientific interpretation of results, independent presentation of results at scientific conferences, and collaboration on scientific publications
- Supporting the head of department in project management on the topics of plant fibres and renewable raw materials
Your Profile:
- PhD in biotechnology, biochemistry, chemistry, or a related discipline
- Expertise in enzyme technology and biochemical analysis of carbohydrates
- Knowledge of chromatographic and spectroscopic analytical techniques is desirable
- Ability to work in an international multidisciplinary team
- Excellent written and spoken English / German
