The Max Planck Institute for Infection Biology,
Department of Molecular Biology, Berlin, Germany,
is seeking at the earliest possible time a
Scientific Coordinator (PhD/MD) (m/w/d)
(half or full-time post, native English speaker)
Main tasks include:
Editorial management of scientific manuscripts and grant applications
Literature and information searches
Establishment of public relations
Organization of internal and external scientific events
Pursuing connections with scientific collaborators and supporters
Popular science writing
Maintenance of the laboratory‘s webpage
Contractual, legal and patent issues
Mentoring of students and coworkers
Candidates holding a doctoral degree, with a strong background in biomedical and/or basic biological sciences, and a talent for writing and editing of scientific texts both in German and English are encouraged to apply.
The position is initially available from January 1, 2020 until August 31, 2020. Salary will be according up to E14 TVöD, depending on qualifications and experience. Employee benefits according to civil service will be offered.
In the course of an anticipated transition of the laboratory to another institution, a sub-sequent employment will be granted.
