Scientific Assistant (f/m) Biophysics/Statistics
The Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences in Kleve and Kamp-Lintfort offers an innovative, international environment
combined with first-rate teaching in interdisciplinary bachelor’s and master’s degree courses, taught mainly
in English. It is strong in conducting research in disciplines such as technology, natural sciences and social sciences.
More than 6,000 students have already enrolled at the Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences.
The Lower Rhine region with its attractive countryside is in the direct vicinity of the Rhine-Ruhr conurbation and the
Netherlands, while at the same time being located at the heart of Europe, with two University Campuses easily accessible
from all over the world via the three airports of Amsterdam/Schiphol, Düsseldorf Airport and Weeze.
We are looking for support for the faculty of Life Sciences, Kleve Campus and would like to fill the following vacancy as soon as possible:

Scientific Assistant (m/f) Biophysics/Statistics
wage group TV-L EG 13, fixed-term contract for 2 years according to section 14 (2) of the German Part-time and Fixed-term Employment Act (TzBfG), full-time
Technical management of the Laboratories for Biophysics and Biophysical Chemistry
Support professors and lecturers with the planning, organisation, and implementation of courses in physics/biophysics
Support the development and implementation of courses in statistics/applied statistics, and provide guidance and supervision to students conducting quantitative research
You have a master’s or equivalent degree in biophysics or a related or comparable discipline
You have sound knowledge of experiments involving at least one of the following instruments: atomic force microscopy, optical tweezers, and/or Raman spectroscopy
You have sound knowledge of statistics/applied statistics
You are fluent in written and spoken German and English (comparable CEFR level C1)
The position is generally suitable for part-time employees.
