Heidelberg University is part of the NFDI4BIOIMAGE, which is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). For the implementation of the planned NFDI4BIOIMAGE measures, the following position is to be filled as of the next possible date, limited to five years:
Research Data Infrastructure Expert (f/m/d)
Your tasks:
- Development and implementation of NFDI4BIOIMAGE measures such as FAIR image object solutions, proof of concepts and use cases
- Analysis and testing of available software solutions
- Exchange and collaboration with relevant central operating units and core facilities of the university and the NFDI4BIOIMAGE consortium
- Exchange with national and international stakeholders on research data management
- Consultation of scientists on the implementation of FAIR research data management
- Analysis of external requirements
- If applicable, preparation of grant proposals for funding research data management
Your profile:
- Experience in data management
- Experience with databases and handling large amounts of data
- Knowledge in software programming
- Experience in project management
- Master's degree, preferably in scientific computing, computer science, mathematics, physics or biology/biotechnology
- Very good knowledge of written and spoken English
- Excellent communication skills
- High degree of flexibility in working on a variety of tasks

The remuneration is based on Entgeltgruppe 13 TV-L. In principal can be filled in part-time.
