DFG-funded research projectStraintronics of imperfect quasi-two-dimensionalmaterials: coplanar vs
lamellar heterostructures, starting at the earliest possible date, limited for 3 years (The period of employment
is governed by the Fixed Term Research Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz-WissZeitVG); The position
offers the chance to obtain further academic qualification (e. g. PhD or habilitation thesis).
(Subject to personal qualification employees are remunerated according to salary group E 13 TV-L)
The project is related to the theoretical modeling of the mechanical properties and electron transport characteristics
of selected two-dimensional materials. The theoretical investigations will be done in close collaboration with a
team at the G. V. Kurdyumov Institute for Metal Physics, National Academy of Science in the Ukraine. Applicants should
have an excellent university degree in Theoretical Physics or in Theoretical Chemistry and are expected to have
expertise in density-functional based software as well as in quantum transport calculations. For further info please see:
