of Germany has provided an innovative, interdisciplinary and international education to
young minds from around the world. We offer a total of 36 undergraduate and postgraduate

Society and Economics, and Communication and Environment. Our scientifically-oriented
degree programmes combine an applied academic approach with a broad international
scope into a high-quality education that emphasises teaching and research with real-world
relevance. 75 % of our degree programmes are taught in English as well. Over 7,300 students
from 122 different countries are currently pursuing their degree in our uniquely
international and intercultural campus community. International collaboration is a strength
of ours, seen and felt in our network of over 90 partner universities in 38 countries. Rhine-
Waal University of Applied Sciences is not only connected to the larger world, but also
deeply rooted in its Dutch-German EUREGIO home as well.
The Faculty of Technology and Bionics offers six Bachelor study programmes and two Master
study programmes. These programmes teach bio-inspired solutions in the areas of materials,
modern mechanical, industrial and electrical engineering and up-to-date topics in the area of
economy and science communication. The faculty provides modern facilities and
laboratories for teaching and research. 1,700 students from all around the world learn and
work with practical orientation. Different student projects provide the opportunity to apply
the theoretical knowledge in a hands-on way. The faculty has different research projects,
partly funded by third-party funds, partly intertwined with local and global industry. These
projects give staff and students the opportunity to do modern research and to link the
teaching closer to science. Researchers and teachers are supported by technical staff who
supervise labs and workshops and take care of administrative issues.
