University of Applied Sciences (Department of Design Computer Science Media, Campus Wiesbaden), the
following temporary position (1 year) is to be filled as soon as possible:

The PROFRAME project (Prototyping Framework for Mobile App Design in Large Enterprises,
www.proframe-project.de) is conducting research on user-centered development of mobile applications in
large enterprises. The project is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research and
runs from 2016 to 2019. The research work is in cooperation with the industrial partner DB Systel. We are
looking for a candidate with a Master’s degree and expertise in digital media (e.g. media economics, media
management, business administration, media informatics, business informatics). If suitable, the position can
be used to prepare a doctoral project. The aim of the position is also to support the preparation of research
proposals for follow-up projects in the field of mobile app innovations and business concepts.
The position is intended to support research aspects of the project that are more strongly related to user
acceptance and the usability or marketability of prototyping tools. This includes, for example, support in
conducting literature and market research as well as the conception, planning and implementation of
prototype-based user tests, empirical surveys and usability studies.
Applicants should be able to meet the following requirements:
Interest in the areas of conception, development and analysis of the usage behavior of innovative
Previous experience and interest in scientific and research work
Very good English language skills as a basis for participation in scientific publications, knowledge of
German would be advantageous
Advanced skills in general office and scientific software (e.g. Microsoft Office, SPSS)
Expertise and interest in the field of design and creation of mobile applications would be advantageous
Depending on the qualification, candidates are paid up to 13 TV-H.
