Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences in the Lower Rhine region of Germany has provided an innovative, interdisciplinary and international education to young minds from around the world. We offer a total of 36 undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes in four multidisciplinary faculties: Technology and Bionics, Life Sciences, Society and Economics, and Communication and Environment. The Faculty of Life Sciences focuses on natural science competences. The diversity of subjects includes areas such as biotechnology, nutrition, health, agriculture, food, sustainability, quality management and the environment and offers an interdisciplinary platform for a first professional qualification after the Bachelor's degree as well as research-oriented training in the Master's area. YOUR FUTURE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordination of the third party funded project SmartLabOER in the central unit
- Design of platform independent web-based interactive real-time tutorials (HTML5)
- Development of an editor for the simplified set-up of tutorials
- Integration into existing LMS platforms
- Integration into user and content databases
- Collaboration with staff of partners, who are in charge of integrating the tutorials into the specific laboratory context
YOUR SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor/Master degree in Informatics or web design related study courses or Bachelor/Master degree in natural science/engineering related study courses with profound knowledge in informatics or web design; completed Bachelor/Master degree in a relevant degree programme with several years of relevant career experience
- Solid programming skills in at least one web-related language like JavaScript or TypeScript
- Experience in the set-up of web-based content
- Experience in the set-up and maintenance of servers of advantage
- English skills (B2 level), German skills (A2)
- Organised, structured and independent approach to work, as well as excellent analytical skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
