For our Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Wolfenbüttel Campus, we are looking for the following to start as soon as possible
Research Assistants (m/f/d) in the IoT/IIoT Research Group
for a research project on private 5G industrial networks
initially limited to 30 months.
Field of Activity/Tasks:
Cooperation in the international research project MERCI (Media and Event Production via Resilient Communication on IoT Infrastructure)
Investigation and evaluation of the radio interface of the radio standard DECT 2020 NR
Investigation and evaluation of different spectrum management concepts for private and industrial 5G networks from a technical and regulatory perspective
Concept development for OSI layer 2 algorithms for automated coordination of neighbouring private industrial 5G networks, as well as their implementation and evaluation
University degree in electrical engineering, computer science, mathematics or physics with a Master's degree completed
extensive knowledge of theory and practice of communication technology
good communication skills in English, both oral and written
high motivation and interest in communication technology
Knowledge of wireless technologies such as Wi-Fi, BT, or cellular standards (e.g. LTE)
Knowledge of spectrum management concepts, spectrum sharing approaches
Experience with SW development in Python or C/C++
Good communication skills in German, both oral and written

The following general notes apply
Your overall working hours are 39.80 hours per week (100%). This position is suite for part-time work. Remuneration is based on the German public pay grade TV-L 13.
