Working field:
- independent research in the field of public economics with methods from either microeconomics / game theory / behavioral economics (if applicable inclusive of economic experiments) or general equilibrium theory (static or dynamic models)
- independent organization and implementation of teaching courses as well as supervision of Bachelor and Master theses
- supporting the chair in research and teaching as well as the acquisition of third-party funding projects
- application for and engagement in the "Research Associates Program" of the "Berlin School of Economics" is supported (https://berlinschoolofeconomics.de/)

Requirements:
- successfully completed university degree (Diplom, Master or equivalent) in Economics or equivalent courses of study
- completed above-average dissertation in the field of public economics or related areas
- very good knowledge of the methods used in microeconomics / game theory / behavioral economics (if applicable inclusive of economic experiments) or general equilibrium theory (static or dynamic models)
- experience or interest in one or more of the following subareas of public economics: economics of taxation, health economics, environmental and resource economics, sports economics
- experience in organizing and delivering teaching courses
- very good knowledge of German and English written and spoken; sufficient language proficiency to teach classes in both German and English; for applicants with insufficient German language skills, a transitional phase to learn the German language may be considered
- high level of independence and commitment
