The Department of Chemistry at the Faculty of Science – Chair of Technical and Macromolecular Chemistry – offers a position for a
Research Assistant / PostDoc
(pay scale 13 TV-L)
at the earliest date possible.
The position is initially limited to two years with the amount of 100% of regular work time, with the possibility of extension. The contract period corresponds to the approved project period. An active involvement of the successful applicant in research and teaching is expected. The scientific focus will be on „Materials design for additive manufacturing of advanced metal alloys“;. Particle surface modification and characterization will be key aspects of the research project. The responsibilities include submission of grant proposals, co-supervision of students and publication of scientific articles. An active involvement in teaching is expected (usually 4 semester periods a week).
very good university degree in chemistry, physics, or materials science
very good publication record
research experience in the area of advanced materials and interface
In addition to personal commitment and the ability for scientific supervision of students and Ph.D. students the ability to connect and collaborate with other national and international research groups is expected.
