The Faculty of Humanities and Theology at TU Dortmund University is seeking to fill the position of two
Research Assistants (m/f/d)
as of 1st December 2020, for the duration of three years - provided that the research funds are granted. The salary follows the regulations of the collective bargaining law in salary class E13 TV-L. The two positions are a part-time appointment (65%). The possibility to pursue a doctorate is offered (PhD).
The Faculty of Humanities and Theology comprises the Departments of Catholic Theology and Protestant Theology as well as a joint Department of Philosophy and Political Science. There is an interdisciplinary focus on teaching and research in the field of “Religion and Politics” with special emphasis on philosophical references.
Participation in the implementation of an empirical, internationally comparative research project on social capital formation in religious communities
Cooperation in the preparation of research results for multipliers
A university master's degree in Theology, Islamic Studies, Political Science or related fields of study
Experience in qualitative-empirical research
Good spoken and written skills in German and Polish or Dutch
Experience in international-comparative research
Experience in mixed-methods research
participation in an innovative, interdisciplinary research group
