The Faculty of Business Administration and Economics, Paderborn University, has a
vacancy at the Professorship of Business Administration, esp. International Accounting (Prof. Dr. Sönke Sievers) for a
Research and Teaching Assistant (f/m/d)
(Pay scale E13 TV-L)
with 100 % of the regular working hours. This is a qualification position within the meaning of the Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz (WissZeitVG), which serves to promote a doctoral degree in the field of business administration. The position is limited to the duration of the qualification procedure of the doctoral degree in business administration, depending on the qualification achieved to date, but generally for a period of 3 years. An extension for the completion of the doctoral degree is possible within the time limits of the WissZeitVG.
Requirements for employment:
- A successfully completed master degree in the field of business, economics, finance or mathematics preferably including comprehensive accounting knowledge
- Sound knowledge of and strong interest in empirical research, ideally related to the research focus of the professorship (e.g., financial accounting, corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions)
- Very good English skills (written and spoken)
- Strong communication skills, organisational talent and curiosity
