Rector (f/m/d) German University of Technology
German University of Technology / RWTH Aachen University
The German University of Technology (GUtech) was established in collaboration with RWTH Aachen University in 2007 and is located in Muscat, Oman. GUtech is a unique institution affiliated with RWTH Aachen University, one of Germany's Universities of Excellence. It combines German excellence in science and technology with a firm grounding in Oman's culture and heritage.
A Collaborative Agreement between RWTH Aachen University and GUtech laid the framework for academic curricula, quality assurance, expertise, and setting up a technological university. Its programs of study are accredited by the German agency ACQUIN, and the University has recently undergone a successful evaluation by the German Academic Exchange Service DAAD.
With around 2200 students enrolled in engineering, business, computer science, logistics, urban planning, and architecture disciplines, GUtech students not only learn the theory. Guided by highly qualified academic staff, they apply what they learn beyond the classroom. GUtech's mission is to provide a diverse student body with the education required to become highly qualified and socially responsible graduates. The private University fosters creative and critical thinking to advance research and innovation and, through this, aims at serving society as a whole.
