Anthropology in the Asia-Orient-Institute, Faculty of
Humanities at the University of Tübingen
The Faculty of Humanities at Tübingen University invites applications for a Chair
in Social and Cultural Anthropology (W 3).
The applicant should be able to demonstrate a highly developed proficiency
in methods and theory of Social and Cultural Anthropology. The applicant is
expected to have the competence and the will to cooperate within interdisciplinary
research groups in the Asia-Orient-Institute and the Faculty of Humanities.
The applicant should have experience in third party funding, the organisation of
research projects and academic self-administration.
Requirements for appointment are: PhD and habilitation degree or an equivalent
qualification (e.g. »second book«) as well as an attested didactic qualification.
Tübingen University is particularly interested in applications from female candidates
