The University of Bayreuth is a research-oriented university with internationally competitive, interdisciplinary focus areas in research and teaching. The Faculty of Law, Business & Economics at the University of Bayreuth is currently seeking to appoint a
Professor of Business Administration
with a focus on Human Resource Management and Intrapreneurship
(pay grade: W3)
to commence in Summer Semester 2019. This is a permanent civil service position.
Applicants should have a record of research and relevant publications in high-ranking national and international journals and show a commitment to teaching. The successful candidate will be expected to have a strong research profile in which issues relating to human resource management, especially in the areas of intrapreneurship and new forms of work, are analysed on a sound theoretical and/or empirical basis.
The chair represents the area of emphasis Human Resource Management in all degree programmes in economics. A willingness to contribute to interdisciplinary research and teaching would be particularly welcome. Involvement in one or more of the University's focus areas and in the organization of the new Institute of Entrepreneurship & Innovation in order to actively support the University's start-up and transfer activities is expected. The researcher must be committed to the doctoral programme and interdisciplinary cooperation in his or her teaching, particularly in the areas of emphasis in business administration.
Requirements for this position (in accordance with Article 7 and Article 10 para 3 BayHSchPG) are a university degree, a doctoral degree, proven excellence in teaching and a post-doctoral qualification to teach at a professorial level (Habilitation). Alternatively evidence of equivalent scholarly achievement, for example as a junior professor or in a non-university environment, will also be considered. Only applicants who are 51 years of age or younger can be hired as civil servants (Article 10 para 3 BayHSchPG).
